Reference Partners

Reference Partners

A business process in WebSphere Process Server may need to invoke some services that are not part of the business process design. These services can be external services that implement business logic or a human task that performs some action. In any case these services or human tasks are not part of the business process design and the business process need to invoke these services. The services that are invoked from a process or interact with a business process are called partners. In WebSphere Integration Developer, in order to invoke a service from a business process we need to add the service as a reference partner. These reference partners are used for invoking a service from a business process.

To create a reference partner in your process,
1. Click on the + sign from tray.

2. Enter the name for your reference partner.
3. Click on properties
4. Click on Details and select the Reference Interface
